So I thought it would be fun to hear how everyone is doing. I am struggling the most with the water. I also get sick of thinking of fruits and veggies. What works for your home and how are you getting all your stuff in, or not! Jake has found me frequently drinking from a measuring cup to because that is the only way I can keep track of my water....or by the number of times I visit the John. I know that I am really bad at drinking water anyway, so this has been a great thing for me to focus on. When I got sick the first week I had just filled up with a huge salad and had been eating all sorts of veggies....needless to say, after having it come back up I didn't feel much like vegtables for quite a while. Jake and I like to make smoothies a lot, and that helps us get lots of fruits fast. We even tried putting carrots and spinach in them and the kids never even know.
Anyway, let us know what you are trying and what works and if you are even having fun!

I also have a hard time remembering to get the fruits and veggies in. I'm doing good on the water, in fact, Darla had already got me started drinking water and I try to drink 100 oz a day! I'm not sure if we all have the same idea on what is junk food, but it's good that we are all trying to eat better.
ReplyDeleteI struggle with the fruits and veggies as well. I love them but I still would rather munch on chocolate or crackers so it's been good for me to retrain my brain. I try to make sure I have one with every meal and I also do a protein shake with fruit after I workout. One of my favorite snacks is toasted wheat bread with peanut butter and sliced bananas. Yummy! I get my carbs, protein and fruit. I also must say it is not easy when Brian is always munching on chips and cookies and candy!! But I just enjoy them that much more on my free days :)
